Early Help in Medway

Early Help for Professional

As a professional, you could be asked either to lead on an Early Help assessment or attend an Early Help Review.

Roles and Responsibilities

Early Help Leads work closely with families undertaking an Early Help Assessment (EHA) to ensure:

  • all needs are identified
  • outcomes based plan is developed
  • the family receive all the support they require

The lead is the one constant point of contact for the family and is responsible for coordinating the interventions and support needed.

Review meetings

If you are a professional invited to the review meetings, your role will be to:

  • attend meetings when needed
  • bring all relevant information with you
  • carry out actions to help support the family
  • get them to their desired outcomes

Review meetings are held 6-8 weekly and your involvement in these will differ on a case to case basis.

Professional support

No matter what your involvement, The Early Help Transformation team can offer support. This includes:

  • training on early help and undertaking Assessments
  • completing reviews and closing cases
  • one to one support to further embed the training and to help with developing plans
  • coordinating interventions
